- Abstract:
- The EGI Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for the authentication of the users and the service hosts is based on the IGTF PKI implementation . IGTF has scheduled a migration from the SHA-1 hash algorithm to the newer version SHA-2, for the newly released certificates during 2013.
This document provides a brief introduction to the subject, a description of the impact of these planned changes in the EGI infrastructure, and an action plan to prepare for the transition to SHA-2.
