Abstract:

The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is to outline the areas of common interest where the EGI Federation, and the University of Freiburg (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg) can actively collaborate, and define a long-term collaboration framework to enable the vision of jointly providing and using sustainable e-Infrastructure services.

As part of this MoU, the Parties have identified the following areas of common interest:
1.) Support the Galaxy computing and storage needs, leveraging the involvement of EU data centres of the EGI Federation;
2.) Technical alignment and integration of the usegalaxy.eu platform with EGI services;
3.) Integrate Galaxy into EOSC via the EGI Node;
4.) Set-up a Competence Centre for long-term support of the Galaxy platform;
5.) Coordinating efforts for future funding opportunities;
6.) Impact, Dissemination, Outreach.
