Abstract:

Thematic educational slides about EGI Science Gateways (SG) to support virtual research environments.

An overview of EGI ecosystem is provided emphasizing the domain/community services where SGs are actually born. The EGI Applications Database is the mechanism used to advertise SG to researchers as well as SG enabling technologies to developers. A SG primer targets the developers community where best practices on how to build, maintain and operate a SG can be found.
