Abstract:

This is a tutorial package about the EGI Federated Cloud for the ELIXIR EXCELERATE WS Using clouds and VMs in bioinformatics training (May 23-25, 2016, Hesinki, Finland). The tutorial package includes lectures and hands-on exercises. The lectures and hands-on exercises are in the slideset. The tutorial is approximately 3:30 hours long and demonstrates the use of the command line interface (rOCCI) of the EGI Federated Cloud from a user perspective focusing on applications for Bioinformatic (Jupyter Notebok and Galaxy Server).
