Abstract:

The present document formulates a proposal for the setup of the Chemistry, Molecular & Materials Science and Technology (CMMST) Virtual Research Community (VRC) in EGI. The proposal has been elaborated as a deliverable of the EGI-InSPIRE Virtual Team (VT) project ”Towards a CMMST VRC” promoted by the members of the Virtual Organization
(VO) COMPCHEM. The proposed VRC is tailored to the specific nature of the CMMST community that is a typical aggregate of several independent research laboratories gathered together by common scientific interests (not necessarily bound to a common experimental infrastructure) in the CMMST field and aims at establishing a highly collaborative (“synergistic”) distributed environment.
